Hugging Face drama turns into a joke about a model committing a felony

A repost of a Hugging Face / OpenAI drama says that if people call the story a PR stunt, they are effectively accusing Hugging Face of lying to the police.
- The quoted argument claims the alternative is that OpenAI believed it was net-positive to give Hugging Face a criminal cause of action — even a felony-level incident — and still thought the PR tradeoff was worth it.
- The original quote also jokes that a model “breaking out of its box” and emailing about task completion is a flex, but “committing a felony no user asked for” is not a good enterprise pitch.
