Open-source book-to-skill converts entire books into chapter-by-chapter Claude skills
Roger_M_Taylor · x · 2026-07-26
The open-source project book-to-skill turns a book or document collection into a Claude Skill that can be queried chapter by chapter, reducing the need to load an entire book into context.
It generates:
- a SKILL.md with core concepts and a full table of contents
- one file per chapter
- a glossary with references
- a techniques/patterns/algorithms document
- a quick-reference guide with rules and decision tables
Because chapters are loaded only when needed, the tool is meant to cut token waste when using large technical references inside Claude.
