Anthropic is mocked for swinging from AI safety hero to open-source villain

A blunt jab at Anthropic says the company has gone from being the “hero” that promised not to let its AI be used by the military to kill people to a “supervillain” allegedly lobbying the government against open-source AI.
It is framed as hypocrisy and a dramatic reversal in posture, rather than a detailed policy argument.
