Meta pulls Muse Image after three days over likeness and privacy backlash

A Meta image-generation feature called Muse Image was reportedly pulled just three days after launch.
According to the video, the feature defaulted public accounts into opt-in behavior, letting anyone @ a public handle and generate new images using that person’s likeness without explicit permission. The backlash from users, privacy advocates, and talent agencies was immediate, and Meta removed the feature shortly after.
The video frames the episode as both a privacy failure and a possible attention-grabbing launch tactic for Meta’s new AI work.
