Prototype AI drone patrols a yard, spots dog poop, and scoops it up
brianrkelly · x · 2026-07-25
A prototype AI drone nicknamed “Poopcopter” patrols a GPS-mapped yard, uses a camera model trained on Twinkie’s poop photos, then relies on camera and LiDAR guidance to land within 6 inches, close a 3D-printed scoop around the pile, and haul it away for disposal. It’s still just a prototype, but it’s already the kind of absurd demo people will share.
