Big labs are more likely to ship reversible skill patches than true continual learning

Big AI labs, the post argues, are unlikely to ship true always-on continual learning first.

Instead, they will probably release small, reversible skill patches layered on top of base models. That would preserve the impression of systems that keep getting better while greatly reducing the risk that one strange conversation permanently rewires the model.
