Andrew Chen asks whether developers are actually using Claude and ChatGPT’s desktop apps for coding now that both bundle coding into the UI.
He says he usually falls back to an SSH mobile app plus the Codex/Claude CLI in a terminal because that feels more familiar, and he’s curious whether others are genuinely coding inside the desktop apps or just watching “agentic coding” demos on YouTube.
