A thread argues China can still keep a cost edge in data work
In a reply to a question about whether China can really have a price advantage if much of American “data annotation” is already done by workers in India or Eastern Europe, the author says the advantage still exists.
The argument is that China has a much larger pool of underutilized PhD-level talent, and that for higher-quality data, access to better human expertise matters more.
