Reve image model 2.1 adds direct color picking and beats rivals on palette accuracy
DavidmComfort · x · 2026-07-25
Reve has updated its image model to 2.1 and added direct color selection, letting users pick exact colors before generation instead of describing them in prompts.
In a comparison shared by Curious Refuge:
- Reve delivered the best color accuracy while keeping images realistic.
- GPT Image looked the most realistic, but drifted from the requested palette.
- Midjourney produced strong visuals but often ignored color constraints.
- Nano Banana also failed to follow colors consistently.
The takeaway: if color fidelity matters, Reve’s new workflow looks genuinely useful, and it shows how smaller independent image models can still ship practical features fast.
