NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang says open models are essential
In his first post on X, Jensen Huang shared a letter signed by NVIDIA arguing that open models matter.
He says AI will transform every industry, power every company, and be built by every country. In that framing:
- Open models improve safety and cybersecurity
- They accelerate innovation and diffusion
- They support sovereignty
His conclusion is that the world needs both frontier closed models and frontier open models.
