OpenHands SDK 1.37.1 lets MCP servers add tools while a session is running
rajistics · x · 2026-07-25
OpenHands SDK 1.37.1 adds support for progressive-disclosure MCP servers that can expose new tools while a conversation is already running.
Instead of loading every tool up front, the SDK listens for tools/listchanged and then expands the available toolset at runtime. The release also improves parent/child relationships, credential reactivation, VS Code ports, reliability, and performance.
