Anthropic’s Opus 5 landed with a modest price increase, roughly 15% above 4.8 for similar tasks, but it is still framed as a strict upgrade over 4.8.
The poster says it trails Fable 5 in raw brilliance, yet is good enough to slot into their agent and ChatLLM right away. They also expect a LiveBench score soon, but for now they’re switching back to Fable 5.
