Anthropic upgrades Claude voice mode with three model families and app actions
rohanpaul_ai · x · 2026-07-25
Anthropic says Claude voice mode now runs on multiple model families and can act across connected apps.
- Voice mode is no longer limited to Claude Haiku; users can switch between Opus, Sonnet, and Haiku mid-conversation without losing context.
- Connected tools let Claude take actions in Gmail, Calendar, Slack, Canva, and Notion after asking permission.
- The beta now supports 10 languages and is available on mobile, desktop, and web.
- Free users still get only Haiku and one connected tool.
Anthropic says the change is mainly in the reasoning layer rather than the voice stack or interruption behavior.
