A Claude-built Steam recommender ranks games by review text, not tags
The maker of arcadesquirrel.com says Claude Code wrote the whole site. The product has three parts:
The Hoard
- Paste a public Steam profile URL.
- The tool inspects your library and play history.
- It suggests games you already own but never started, plus games you do not own but are likely to enjoy.
The Stash
- “Games like X” pages for 652 games.
- It does not rely on Steam tags.
- Instead, it reads about 500 reviews per game and matches on what players say the game feels like to play.
The Arcade
- Four browser games made by the author: Market Street, Gravity Harbor, Mountebank, and Exit Liquidity.
The author mainly wants users to point out bad recommendations, since those are the most useful for improving the system.
