A NeurIPS 2026 workshop, I Can’t Believe It’s Not Better: Failure Modes of AI in Biology (ICBINB-BIO), is calling for papers on surprising failures, negative results, weak baselines, and other boundary conditions in biology-related AI systems.

The workshop will be held in Sydney in December 2026 and accepts both full 8-page papers and shorter 4-page submissions. Its goal is to surface what does not work, help the field avoid dead ends, and build a more transparent culture around AI for biology.
