- Stripe is rumored to acquire OpenRouter for $10B.
- Cursor announced its router on Wednesday.
- Runway announced its router yesterday.
- Similar routing layers also exist at Databricks, Vercel, Cloudflare, Dataiku, AWS, and Google—even though the term “router” can mean different things across stacks.
The post frames routing as a fast-emerging layer in the AI application stack, with several major vendors now offering their own versions.
