RealSense launches D585 Pro depth camera for humanoids and AMRs

• RealSense has released the D585 Pro, a new depth camera aimed at humanoids and AMRs.
• The camera adds an onboard AI-capable system-on-chip, so some vision features can run directly on the camera instead of being offloaded to the robot’s main compute.
• According to the post, depth performance improves to a 10-meter range with low noise, and 12 cm depth quality is 2× better than the previous generation.
• It also supports dual RGB streams alongside depth, with a 120° horizontal and 100° vertical field of view, which the author argues is important for teleoperation, VLA models, and safe humanoid deployment.
