Valv open-sources scoped AI database queries with JSON-schema controls
PrestigiousRoof3551 · reddit · 2026-07-24
Valv is an open-source TypeScript library for scoped AI-generated database queries.
Its design keeps the model from writing SQL directly and instead constrains it to a JSON schema, with policy controls for tenant scoping, field/table hiding, and role-based access. The library also exposes an MCP server and currently supports Postgres, MySQL, and ClickHouse.
