Hugging Face Officially Confirms '抱抱脸' as Its Standard Chinese Name, Adopted by Xinhua

In response to netizens joking about feeling disconnected from the Chinese language, Hugging Face engineer Xianbao QIAN clarified that "抱抱脸" (Bao Bao Lian) is indeed the official standard Chinese translation for Hugging Face.
He noted that the name has been officially recognized since 2023 and was recently even used in a Xinhua News report. This down-to-earth translation has sparked widespread amusement and discussion within the AI community.
