A developer shared /setmicrolight, a plugin that gives an agent full control over the lights on a Codex Micro.
- The plugin can flash the agent button purple when an email arrives.
- It can make the outer light green snake when a new Stripe customer appears.
- It can also turn orange when Claude is used as a subagent.
- The system works with Automations and Plugins, and supports multiple colors plus custom RGB.
It’s a small example of how people are starting to build playful, event-driven workflows around agent hardware and tooling.
