Pydantic x Modal: Give Agents On-Demand Million-Scale Sandboxes in One Line
samuelcolvin · x · 2026-07-24
The Pydantic team collaborated with Modal to launch a new feature that provides Pydantic agents with on-demand, fast-booting million-scale sandboxes in just one line of code.
This aims to solve the compute and environment orchestration problem for Agents executing complex tasks. For instance, when handed a real ticket, the agent can fan out into 40 parallel test suites hitting a local Docker daemon. This design allows compute resources to instantly appear when work needs to be done and vanish when finished, significantly boosting the engineering efficiency of multi-agent concurrency.
