Geekbench 7 resets scores and boosts multi-core gains on Snapdragon X2 Elite

Geekbench 7 has been released with new media and game-physics workloads, larger datasets, and a rebuilt multi-core methodology that only parallelizes a test when the modeled real-world app does so.
In early testing across Qualcomm, Intel, AMD, and Apple laptops, Signal65 reports that single-core scores drop on every system because the benchmark is recalibrated against a 2,500 baseline. The multi-core redesign helps higher-core-count chips: Snapdragon X2 Elite gains nearly 16%, Apple’s M5 remains the single-core leader, and Qualcomm holds up better on battery than Intel or AMD in the sample set.
