Intel says it has locked in 10+ customers on long-term agreements and is increasing capex on that visibility.
The post also highlights Intel CFO comments that the foundry business has two parts:
- Wafers
- Advanced packaging
On packaging, Intel says it has already started to build backlog, and Lip-Bu Tan has visibility into billions of dollars of business. The market reaction in the thread frames Intel as standing out after hours even as peers like TSMC, ASML, and Texas Instruments also beat expectations.
