VideoTreeSearch: Organizing Videos as Trees for Grounded Long Video QA

Researchers introduced VideoTreeSearch (VTS), a novel approach for Grounded Long Video QA (LVQA). VTS adaptively organizes videos into a temporal tree, enabling an agent to search, backtrack, and revise its path.
The method achieves state-of-the-art results across three grounded LVQA benchmarks while being more efficient than prior agentic methods. It also demonstrates strong temporal grounding performance even without manually labeled long video data.
