Developer says Codex plus SSH to a persistent devbox beats ephemeral cloud agents

The poster says they’ve recently stopped using both local and cloud agents after trying Codex plus SSH into a devbox.
Their argument is that the current cloud-agent pattern is wrong: instead of throwing away ephemeral sandboxes for every PR, they want one persistent machine with credentials and context where agents can work and create PRs across sessions. They say the product is good enough that they can use both phone and computer to do all their work on that devbox.
