OpenAI is adding Fields Medalist Jacob Tsimerman to the team, according to a congratulatory post from Sebastien Bubeck and the quoted announcement.
The screenshot says Tsimerman, described as one of the most prestigious mathematicians in the field, announced at a press conference that he is pivoting toward AI safety and will be joining OpenAI soon.
