A Columbia graduate program is presenting Janell Goode’s thesis defense on quantifying energy-related stress responses.

Her work is framed around computational and experimental approaches to measuring energetic stress, including a transcriptional index based on GDF15 and a second paper on the energetics of adrenergic responses in human fibroblasts. The defense is scheduled for Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at 2 p.m. at the Vagelos Education Center.
