ChatGPT Work turns the browser into a cloud computer
The post argues that the most important part of ChatGPT Work is not its desktop experience, but its browser-based workflow: it runs on a cloud workspace with code execution, shell access, a remote browser, files, scheduled tasks, and plugin access, all usable from a phone without leaving a laptop running.
The author says this changes real work: they used it to build and deploy a site, then keep managing it from the same thread; if they want to add posts or change the UI, they just ask Work to do it and redeploy. They also note it can clone GitHub repos and prepare pull requests from a phone, while pulling context from connected apps like Slack, Gmail, Calendar, Drive, and GitHub.
