Stanford HAI says Brian Hie’s team has built three firsts in a short span: the largest fully open language model ever trained, the first AI-generated genomic database, and the first AI-generated viable genomes.
The work was developed with support from a Stanford HAI Hoffman-Yee Research Grant, and the post highlights Evo 2 as the centerpiece of the effort.
