Google data shows Gemini is used most for taxes, licenses, and civic tasks

Google has released what the post calls the first systematic evidence on how people use AI for government-related tasks.
The chart shows that the biggest share of Gemini civic queries is licenses, taxes, fines, and fees (40.1%), followed by civic obligations and participation (26.0%), other government services (16.5%), and social services (15.4%).
The accompanying note says these interactions are often happening after business hours, suggesting AI is filling gaps in access to bureaucracy and public services.
