A Reddit builder wants encrypted handoff for agent sessions across laptops and desktops

A Reddit user says moving an agent coding session between a laptop and desktop exposes a painful gap: the code moves through git, but the agent’s session state, context, and decisions do not.

They want the handoff to be end-to-end encrypted, so any relay server only ever sees ciphertext and cannot read the session or shared code. The author says they built this into a coordination tool called aethereum, with encrypted handoff and code sharing, and is running a free beta.

The discussion question: do people re-prime the agent from scratch, rely on a cloud-hosted middle layer, or use encrypted session sync?
