Open-source node-based LoRA trainer puts captioning, checkpoints and VRAM stats in one graph
ashishsanu · reddit · 2026-07-23
The author built an open-source node-based LoRA trainer inside Inline Studio so training lives in the same graph as generation and the finished LoRA can drop straight into the loader node.
What it does
- BLIP auto-captioning with per-image progress
- Stop/resume from checkpoints
- Live loss curve and step logs inside the node
- Real-time CPU / RAM / VRAM monitoring
Tested hardware
- Tesla T4 16GB: 512px peaks around 13GB VRAM; 768px and 1024px OOM
- NVIDIA L4 24GB: 1024px works with the Turbo training adapter fused in
The author says production studios need LoRA training in AI filmmaking pipelines, and is asking whether nodes are actually better than a separate job dashboard or just novelty. The project is open-source, with a release available for testing.
