Elon: Grok 4.5 trails Fable, but its speed and cost make it the better default

Elon is quoted as saying Grok 4.5 is not quite as good as Fable, but it is much faster and more cost-effective.
The post argues that for 99% of software tasks today, Grok 4.5 is already sufficient because the cost / speed / output-quality trade-off is so favorable. The core point is that for most real work, pursuing the absolute best intelligence can be overkill, and a cheaper, faster model may be the rational choice.
