The post argues that laundry robots will likely take off first as a shared category in dense cities such as Shanghai, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
Rather than each home running a robot for 30 minutes a day, the idea is that apartment complexes or buildings will deploy around 10 units that work around the clock, making the economics and utilization much better.
