- A GitHub Copilot CLI issue reports the environment footer stuck on Loading: forever, even though /env shows instructions, skills, plugins, and agents are loaded.
- The root cause appears to be the mcp participant never calling .done() when the built-in GitHub MCP handshake stalls under an organization policy that disables third-party MCP servers.
- The bug is cosmetic, but it makes the CLI look permanently stuck and hides the fact that the rest of the environment is already usable.
