Claude Code Desktop UI Regression: Time-Range Filter Incorrectly Hidden
bakulaibuji · ghdev · 2026-07-18
A developer reported a UI regression in the Claude Code desktop app on GitHub. The time-range filter option (e.g., last 1/3/7 days) used for filtering session history unexpectedly disappeared.
Investigation revealed that the option wasn't removed but incorrectly coupled with grouping settings: it only appears when "Group by" is set to "State". Under other grouping modes, such as Custom groups, the time-range filter is entirely hidden. This forces users with large session histories to scroll or search manually to find recent conversations, significantly degrading workflow efficiency.
