Chinese media outlet 36Kr reports that HiDream.ai raised RMB 1.5 billion in a Series C round.
Details
- The round was led by several investors including a provincial social-security-backed fund, ICBC Capital, and others.
- Over the past three months, the company says it has completed three financings totaling more than RMB 2.1 billion.
- That reportedly puts HiDream.ai into unicorn territory.
Company context
- Founded in March 2023 by Meitao Mei, a former Microsoft Research and JD executive.
- The company says its native multimodal architecture unifies image, text, video, audio, motion, and spatial signals in one shared token space.
- It claims revenue exceeded RMB 100 million in 2025 and first-quarter 2026 signed revenue exceeded RMB 400 million.
- Its products span open-source image models and multiple agent applications, including a marketing-focused product called HiBurst.
