Codex image preview close button overlaps the Windows window controls
li2go · ghdev · 2026-07-19
A Windows 11 Codex user reports an image-preview layout bug where the preview close button sits almost directly under the native window close button.
Impact
- users can easily close the entire app instead of just dismissing the preview
- the two X buttons overlap in the top-right corner
- the issue happens whether the window is maximized or not, even at 100% DPI scaling
Expected behavior
The image-preview close control should be visually separated from the native Windows window controls so the two actions cannot be confused.
