Apollo Go wins Hong Kong’s first fully driverless trial permit for July 27

Baidu’s Apollo Go has received Hong Kong’s first fully driverless trial permit, with testing set to begin on July 27 at Airport Island.
The company says this will be Hong Kong’s first Level 4 trial on public roads without an onboard safety operator, and the first fully driverless trial in any right-hand-drive market worldwide. Apollo Go says it has expanded trials across Airport Island, North Lantau, Kowloon East, and Hong Kong Island South over the past 18 months, logging more than 240,000 km of safe driving.
