a16z says it is backing Travis Kalanick's long-running new company, Atoms, and that one of the partners is joining the board.
- The firm frames Atoms as a way to digitize the physical world, with robots doing more of the menial work involved in transforming, moving, and storing atoms.
- Atoms currently has three lines: Atoms Food, Atoms Mining, and Atoms Transport.
