Major financial and consulting institutions have released staggering forecasts for AI infrastructure capital expenditures. Google's Q2 capex doubled year-over-year to a record $44.92B, annualizing near $180B.
Morgan Stanley predicts hyperscaler capex will surge from $800B in 2026 to $1.2T in 2027. Goldman Sachs expects $765B annually in 2026, reaching $1.6T by 2031. McKinsey estimates a massive $6.7T in total AI-related spending through 2030, with $5.2T dedicated solely to AI-ready data centers.
