A reply to Variety mocks Elon Musk's claim that he will make a “historically accurate” AI version of The Odyssey with Grok before year-end.
The joke is that a truly historically accurate adaptation would be too horrifying to watch, and that what Musk likely means is a stylized sandal-and-British-accent fantasy borrowing the look of Gladiator.
This is less about the film itself and more about the recurring gap between AI-generated grand claims and the much messier reality of actual taste, accuracy, and execution.
