A SIGGRAPH 2026 method turns ordinary 3D objects into multi-touch sensors
Researchers say their method can convert existing 3D objects into multi-touch sensors without modifying the interior.
- Starting from a scan, the method samples surface-intrinsic curves that fit mutual-cap layouts.
- It then optimizes the curve intersections to improve coverage and fabrication feasibility.
- The team is presenting the work in a SIGGRAPH 2026 talk.
