OpenAI President Greg Brockman says the company spent a very tough year cutting back and refocusing around ChatGPT as a “super app.”
In the interview, he says the early opportunity around ChatGPT looked expansive, but the real challenge was deciding what to focus on as competition intensified. OpenAI’s thesis, he adds, is that the company performs best when it concentrates on one thing rather than spreading itself across too many projects.
