Bizarre AI Job Interview: Flown to NYC, Asked Zero Questions, Failed the 'Vibes Test'
sterlingcrispin · x · 2026-07-23
AI researcher Sterling Crispin shared a highly bizarre job interview experience. He was flown to NYC to meet the team, but wasn't asked a single technical question before being told they weren't hiring.
Adding to the absurdity, a team member even asked him why he was in NYC. He joked that it was either a hilarious level of internal miscommunication or he failed the 'vibes test' so badly that it was easier to pretend they weren't hiring.
