Sales-deck agent adoption jumped only after it showed its reasoning

A team built an agent that drafts tailored sales decks from call notes and CRM data, but reps would not use it until the system explained why it chose each slide.
What changed adoption was not better generation quality, but visibility:
- The agent now adds a short “why this deck” note, explaining the framing, proof points, and what it left out.
- Each slide is editable, and the system flags the 2–3 weakest choices so reps know where to focus.
- It is positioned as a first draft with reasoning, not a final deck.
The author says usage jumped from near-zero to most of the team, even though the output itself stayed the same.
