Codepilot will let each SubAgent use a different model in the next release
op7418 · x · 2026-07-23
Codepilot previewed a new version that lets users assign a different model to each SubAgent, making the agent workflow more composable. The post gives concrete examples:
- use Grok to search Twitter/X
- use DeepSeek to generate copy
- use Kimi K3 to build web pages
The pitch is that SubAgents can be routed to the model that is best suited for each task, instead of forcing one model to do everything.
