Open-Source Coding Agent Octomind Adds Hosted Machines and 21-Model Access

An open-source coding-agent stack launches a hosted cloud version
The octomind team says its open-source agent stack has gone cloud. The setup combines an agent with two MCP servers: one for semantic code indexing (octocode) and one for persistent memory (octobrain).
The hosted layer, octohub, is an OpenAI-compatible gateway that puts one key in front of 21 models, including DeepSeek V4, Qwen 3.7, Kimi 2.7 Code, GLM-5.2, and major closed models billed per token. The team also says the cloud machines are persistent Docker boxes starting at $0.05/hour, with sessions surviving tab closure.
They frame the launch as invite-only for now and ask for feedback on a practical question: should MCP servers ship preinstalled in the machine image, or should the agent install them dynamically?
