Puri.li has opened its web search API for free use, aimed at people building agents that need search.
- The service runs on its own index.
- The index is around 185 million pages.
- It is adding roughly 500 pages per second.
- The author says results are not yet at Google/Bing quality, but should be usable in the top 10 for many queries.
