Blackpoint says AI-assisted attackers now win by logging in, not breaking in

TechNadu · x · 2026-07-22

TechNadu interviews Blackpoint US’s Erin Whitmore on modern cyber defense.

The interview argues that attackers have shifted from breaking in to logging in, making identity abuse and trust the core problems in security. Whitmore says AI-assisted operations are accelerating that shift, and defenders need continuous behavioral awareness rather than just perimeter checks.

The image quote adds that real credentials let an attacker look legitimate, so defense has to move from gatekeeping at the door to monitoring what happens inside the environment at machine speed.
